I was surfing the Internet looking for some advertising information when, as so often happens, I came across an interesting website. I love to share the information that I find and thought that I would pass the link along to you all. Just click on this www.imagesdavidsoncounty.com or copy and paste the address into your browser. The site is produced by the Chamber of Commerces in Lexington and Thomasville. It is a magazine about our very own Davidson County. You can click on the interactive tab and actually read the magazaine on line by flipping through the virtual pages and enjoy all the pictures.
I am working on another page to my website that lists all the businesses in Wallburg and other things that Wallburgites might like to know. I'll be sure to include "images". So look for the Page 'MyWallburg" at www.JerriRussell.com soon! If you don't see your business listed send me an email and I'll be happy to add you to the list.
Hope you had a great weekend! Jerri
Well, we've all been listening to the doom and gloom news reports on housing lately. Here's an article of interest from Time Magazine. Check it out and let me know what you think. http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1713483,00.html
The North Carolina Association of Realtors recently provided information entitled, "10 Things You Shoudl Know About Today's NC Real Estate Markets" in which they make some good points. Let me know if you would like a copy and I'll send it to you. Real Estate has always been a local market. NCAR points out that there is no such thing as a national market for homes. Some areas are experiencing lower prices, longer selling times and a very slow market for homes. Along with tighter lending policies and credit guidelines that have put some buyers out of the running to buy a home.
Our local area in the Triad remains strong with lots of inventory so that buyers have a choice. Rates are as low as I have seen them in 40 years. While some lenders are in trouble there are plenty of good ones out there who are ready and willing to lend. Drop me an email and I'll send you a list.
Buyers should talk to an experienced Realtor for current local market conditions, get pre-qualified and find the home they really want to live in.
Sellers should also work with an experienced Realtor, know the local market and the competition, set a reasonable, realistic price for their home and be patient. Make sure that your home is staged, clean and appealing so that you stand out from all the other homes buyers are looking at.
Bottom line is that it is a good time to buy in the Piedmont Triad of Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High Point and surrounding areas. Don't miss the boat!
